Before Richard died in 1766, he issued instructions that his grave should be dug "very deep" and half filled with stones and rocks. Was this simply to deter grave robbers, or was there a more sinister reason for this strange request. Did Richard have access to his fathers papers about his relentless search for Kidd's treasure, which eventually drove him to his own grave 65 years earlier? Did he take a secret with him to his grave? |
